PrayerDevotion app for iPhone and iPad

PrayerDevotion is an application build from the ground up with one main purpose: to help users maintain a consistent, faithful and vibrant prayer life. I have been trying to figure out an answer to the question “How could an individual quickly jot down prayer requests for future use with incredible ease?” From this question PrayerDevotion was born. My goal for PrayerDevotion is to create a way for individuals to keep a persistent prayer journal on their own device without the need to carry around a pen and notebook everywhere. This way users can easily go back and review, change, or mark prayers as “Answered” without the need to make a lot of cross-outs and other markings that you wish could be erasable in a notebook.

PrayerDevotion has several features that should make it extremely easy to create, edit, categorize, and mark prayers as answered, including:

* A “Today” View to organize prayers based on due date (Daily, Weekly or on a particular date)
* The ability to create customized categories to sort prayers based on topic, affinity group, need, or whatever you can think of
* Ability to add a contact to a prayer and easily send them a note of encouragement.
* Prayer Locations - that is, the ability to add locations to prayers - as well as a global map that shows you all locations that you are praying for
* Prayer Alerts for those prayers that are urgent or require more attention
* Answered Prayers section included in every category - default or created - that sorts prayers by answered date
* Customization of the application with a set of pre-defined colors or custom colors (additional)

PrayerDevotion is also a developing application, which means that it continues to grow and adapt as users respond with feedback and as new features are introduced. Each purchaser and customer is my top priority, and as such, user feedback and complaints/requests are of utmost importance! That does not mean that every suggestion will be implemented, but that means I will review each suggestion/complaint and do my best to fix it as soon as I can.

Finally, PrayerDevotion is a free application. I feel that applications that limit core user functionality put pressure on the individual to purchase something that they may not need but that they have to pay for in order to install another feature. However, because I am a sole developer there is an In-App Purchase included which does not limit core functionality of the application. Rather, it only unlocks any additional, optional features that a user may or may not want. For example, users can customize the application with pre-made colors and create up to 5 categories without purchasing these additional features. If they would like to, they may purchase these in a one time payment, but this purchase is not required or necessary to use the application for what it is meant for.
